The Cowboys take the Silver Ball, and will defend it next weekend against Baylor. I think it's a fair bet that they'll be carrying the trophy another week into the big game against Texas.
For history buffs, Oklahoma State first took the Silver Ball in 1937, defeating Creighton 16-13 before losing a week later to Arizona. They have had two shots at it since, one in that same season, and lost both, before today's sensational win.
