This time last year...

Rafael Nadal had just beaten Roger Federer in an epic Australian Open final, and was champion of three of the four major tournaments. Federer was generally considered to have met his match - still great, but unable to dominate as before.

Since then, Federer has made all four major finals, and won three. He just destroyed Andy Murray, who was playing by far the best tennis of his life. Is all this down to Nadal's knee, or has Federer found another level?

Personally, I think that if Roger is the only guy in the world still getting texts from Tiger Woods, he's capable of just about anything.

Also: if you'd told me in (say) 1983 that by my 40th birthday Switzerland would hold both the men's singles championship at Wimbledon and the America's Cup, I'd have thought you were completely insane. Of course, the USA is likely to win the America's Cup back in court rather than on the water. So normality is gradually being restored.
