Silver Ball update
LSU took the prize from Auburn on a bizarrely risky play call with a second left on the clock in the Tiger Bowl. The (LSU) Tigers remain idle this weekend, then travel to freshly rejuvenated Alabama. Could be another close one. The way things are shaking out, the Silver Ball may be headed to the BCS Championship yet again. Personally, I'd love to see a couple of upsets making it rattle around I-AA for a while, but Andrew probably has other ideas.

If it goes into I-AA again (excuse me, I mean "NCAA Football Championship Subdivision"), it'll be fine, since we can easily get the scores... it was when it went into the minor colleges in the 50s and 60s that it was a problem and sent us digging through the newspapers.
