Wow. I thought the Celtics would wrap it up at home, but not by 39 points. And, to be fair, while they would not have been near here without the Pierce, Allen, and Garnett, they also would not have been near here without Rondo, Posey, Brown, House, Perkins... this was a complete supporting cast.
Now, next year... and the year after... that supporting cast needs to become Big themselves, if this club is to win any more championships. Because this was the best short term trade ever. But that's what it was: a short term trade.
But I'll take it. Danny Ainge traded many years of being just ok for a 17th banner. And who wouldn't make that trade?
