Missouri continued its spirited run carrying the Silver Ball with a 69-17 belting of Nevada. That's the highest score in a Silver Ball game since USC put 70 past Arkansas in 2005, and the first time a Silver Ball holder has scored 50+ points in three straight games since that same USC team.
Next week the Bulls of Buffalo, coming off a 30-28 win over Temple, take their shot at glory. We wish them luck - they'll need it.
In other news, Michigan looks like it is going to lose to Notre Dame in a game with larger historical implications, but no effect at all on the national picture this season. And Maryland bounced back from last week's debacle to defeat #23 Cal. Go figure.
