Insert George Plimpton reference here

Looks like my first instinct was right. The Lions, brave as they were today in leading the Cowboys for all but the last 18 seconds, have slumped from 6-2 to 6-7. And with trips to San Diego and Green Bay yet to come, 7-9 or 6-10 looks likely.

Were they doing it with mirrors before? If so, I think Matt Millen must have broken one by mistake. On the other hand, this should be the last of those seven years of bad luck. All it will take is someone firing Millen. Maybe he and fellow charmed lifer Isiah Thomas can start a consultancy for struggling franchises.
